Bible Reading:  John 3:3, Obadiah 1:17

Memory Verse:  It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV)

Be it talkativeness, ingratitude, anger, laziness, procrastination, pornography, masturbation, or any other type of sexual immorality or character deficit, know for sure that by the grace of God, you can overcome.

How do you overcome your character weaknesses?

1. You must be born again: Without Jesus at the centre of your life, there can’t be a release of the supernatural power to live above any weakness. Consecrate your life.

2. Be baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Water alone can wash off certain dirt from an iron, but only fire can remove rust from any metallic substance. Similarly, without the fire of the Holy Ghost, the spirit behind most character deficiencies such as drunkenness, smoking, pornography, masturbation, lying, etc, may not leave. May the Holy Ghost set your heart on fire. Receive the baptism of the spirit of purity and holiness, in Jesus name.

3. Blunt analysis of one’s character: You must be willing to allow trusted friends, and godly elders to tell you those habits and characters in your life that seems repulsive.

4. Be accountable to a higher authority: Submit yourself for mentorship: Who is speaking into your life? Don’t live your life without accountability and godly submission.

5. Enrol for deliverance: There are weaknesses that are transgenerational. Observe your family pattern. Could it be anger, lust, sexual lewdness or drunkenness. Only a touch of deliverance can completely uproot such weaknesses in your blood (Obadiah 1:17). Seek complete deliverance and not partial deliverance.

Quote: Without complete deliverance, your weaknesses may cut short your destiny. 

Prophetic Decree: May the consuming fire consume every weakness and habit in my life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I come to the throne of mercy at the Cross for total and complete rededication to my Saviour, in Jesus name.

2. Consuming fire of the Holy Ghost, burn away my foundational weaknesses, in Jesus name.

3. Sing this deliverance song prayerfully: “Break my yoke (2ce), Holy Ghost fire break my yoke.

4. Fire of deliverance as of the day of Pentecost, burn through my life for complete and permanent deliverance of all character deficiencies, in Jesus name.

5. O Lord, I am tired of my weaknesses, please perform your surgical operation in my life, in Jesus name.
