Bible Reading: Romans 8: 5-8

Memory Verse: So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God]. Colossians 3:5 (AMP)

The flesh is that urge to trust in your own abilities rather than relying on God. The flesh is that “built-in” tendency toward sin and self-centeredness.

To crucify the flesh means to die to self, to cut off anything that triggers it, to discipline your body, and to say “No” to fleshly instructions.

Be warned, evil spirits (demons) partner with every work of the flesh in a life.

15. If the flesh loves luxury, demons will promote greed and materialism.

16. If the flesh desires admiration, demons will bring vanity.

17. If the flesh worries about the future, demons will bring sleeplessness and stress-related oppression.

18. If the flesh worries about the opinion of others, demons will promote people-pleasing.

19. If the flesh wants fleshly excitement, demons will encourage alcohol and drug abuse.

20. If the flesh seeks body perfection, the demon will encourage cosmetic obsession.

21. If the flesh wants quick results, the demon will promote shortcuts. That is why many young people fall into destruction through wrong choices.

22. If the flesh wants to cover weaknesses, the demon will encourage deception.

23. If corruption is present, falsehood enters.

24. If abortion is entertained, bloodthirsty spirits are involved.

25. If the flesh loves gambling, it links with the spirit of mammon.

26. If the flesh loves strife, it connects with the spirit of strife.

27. If the flesh refuses submission, the spirit of Jezebel is activated.

28. If the flesh loves wasting resources, the demon will encourage poverty.

Thankfully, there is a way out of the dominion of the flesh.

I. Acknowledge the finished works of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary.

II. Starve the demons: Demons feed on sin, fear, and ignorance. Hence, this trio must be removed.

III. Submit to the Holy Spirit: Be a Word addict, be prayerful and work in the Spirit at all times (Gal.5:26).

Quote: There is an evil marriage between the flesh and demons. The flesh provides the aircraft; demons provides the landing space.

Prophetic Decree: By the power of the Holy Spirit, you shall rule over your flesh, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Heavenly Carpenters, take me to the Cross of Calvary, and nail my flesh there, in Jesus name.

2. Today, I reckon my body dead to fleshly desires, in Jesus name.

3. I receive power to walk in the victory bought by Jesus on the Cross, in Jesus name.

4. I receive spiritual intelligence to avoid triggers of the flesh, in Jesus name.

5. My body, hear the Word of the Lord, daily shall you remain on the altar of crucifixion in Jesus name.
