Bible Reading:  Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16

Memory Verse:  In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart]. Psalm 5:3 (AMP)

Wikipedia defines habit as a routine of behaviour that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously. The American Journal of Psychology (1903) defines habit as more or less a fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience. Stephen R. Covey, author of the book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” was quoted to have said, “Habit is the intersection of knowledge (what to do), skill (how to do), and desire (want to do)”. Colin Powell also opined, “If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters.

Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.” Tony Robbins crowned it all, “In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.” That’s it! Our lives goes in the direction of our daily habits. A man digs his own grave when he indulges in bad habits such as gluttony, womanizing, stealing, backbiting, pornography, masturbation, illicit sex, etc. You stop a bad habit to immediately cultivate a good habit.
