Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Memory Verse: Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18
Dating has become a very ambiguous term. To some, it means to go spend some time with a group of people. To others, it is spending time with one person hopefully leading to a deeper relationship, and to another, it means a time-out with one’s fiancé or fiancée, etc. However, dating to most young people is a common term often used to denote a guy and a lady who have something to do together which, on many occasions, could result in a sexual relationship.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong if two young people of opposite sex have something to do together as fellow students in a class, or for the purpose of executing a task or project, provided the purpose is noble without any sexual string attached. However, the devil creeps in many atimes and such people soon become so loose throwing caution to the wind; eating, playing and moving about in every nook and cranny of the school, neighbourhood or fellowship and eventually start to have illicit sex.
Listen! You must understand that there is always an attraction between two people of opposite sex. Hence, efforts should be made to set a healthy boundary, and to keep yourself pure and holy before God. Fornication and adultery are sins against your own body.
