Bible Reading:   Gen 19:12-26

Memory Verse: Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Psalm 124:7

Our Memory Verse talks about deliverance and liberation in relation to our souls. The destruction of the snare (trap) that has caged our soul is called deliverance while the escape from the trap is called liberation. A bird could be kept in a cage for many years and on opening the padlock to the cage, the bird can no longer fly. This is one of the numerous soul diseases that have befallen man!

Lot’s wife left the city of Sodom and Gomorrah but the city did not leave her. She was delivered from the destruction of the city but the pleasures and her possessions of the city were still heavy on her mind. God delivered her from destruction but her unregenerate soul made her look back. Consequently, she became a pillar of salt. The children of Israel left Egypt but were still remembering the cucumbers, onions and bread of Egypt. They were delivered from 430 years bondage but not liberated from its pleasures.

When you are delivered from the evil curses and covenants in your family frustrating your academic achievement, you must not forget to work on bad friends and playful habits that can equally rubbish your education. You must learn to capture your destiny holistically! Block every leakage the enemy and your personal weaknesses may want to use in depleting your relevance and mega success. Work on your mind daily. Be hard on your personal weaknesses. Live disciplined.
