Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2: 20-21

Memory Verse: Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work2 Timothy 2:21 (AMP)

It may surprise you to know that we all may be children of God, but God deals/operates with us differently. 2 Timothy  2:20 (NLT) says, “In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use.” Ten children from the same parent living under one roof cannot behave the same way. Consequently, their parents may not handle them the same way. While their parents will give all of them the basic needs, the one who best meet the expectations of his parents may have other largesse. So it is with relationship between God and man. The way you position yourself especially to divine instructions will determine God’s disposition towards you. You will determine your own rating in the sight of the Almighty. There are pastors and there are exceptional pastors. In every field, there are professionals and there are star professionals. There are artisans, and there are excellent artisans. Time and chance happens to them all. Question: What type of vessel are you in the sight of the Almighty? A durable vessel is an honourable vessel. He is one that the Master of the Universe cannot do without. A disposable vessel is a dishonourable vessel. He is one that though the Master still uses, have lost his first place. Look at it from this perspective: There are players from the same team who are in division one, while others are in division two. Durable vessels are vessels from the first division team while disposable vessels are vessels from the second division team. Brethren which are you? A vessel like unto gold and silver or a vessel unto hay and straw. Again, you will determine your own ranking by your obedience towards divine instructions and how much your have purged yourself from the work of the flesh. 2 Timothy 2:21 (NLT) says, “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” Refuse to lose ranking before the Master. Death to all works of the flesh, including prompt and complete obedience must be your watchword.

Quote: Obedience and holiness are two virtues that guarantees a man for God’s use.

Prophetic Decree: May the Holy Spirit purge your vessel today, in Jesus name.
