Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 9: 3-20, John 9:4
Memory Verse: And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” Luke 2:49 (NKJV)
On the adaptation of the award winning song, “Reckless Love” into a movie, Cory Asbury further said, “I was also mindful of the fragility of my relationship with my dad (upon which parts of the initial story were predicated) and I didn’t want to expose him (or myself) in an untimely manner. As my conversation with Devon (the music producer) went on. He said a phrase that really struck my heart and caused me to see beyond myself… ‘Cory, what if this film is bigger than you and your story? What if it brings healing to your dad and dads all across the world?’ I flew to North Carolina the next day to ask my dad’s permission and we wept together. It was the first step toward healing our relationship. Needless to say, I was listening to what God might want to do through the whole thing.”
In our Bible Reading, Saul was looking for his father’s missing sheep. Just before he gave up his search for the missing ass, his father’s servant who went with him advised they checked with a Seer (a prophet). That single advise brought him before Samuel who anointed him King over Israel. The missing ass was a setup designed by the Monarch of the Universe, God Almighty to bring him before a throne. Consequently, he was anointed the first King over Israel.
Dear brethren, can you try to reconcile the story of Cory Asbury and Saul. They both had one person that connected them to something missing in their lives. What Mr DeVon Franklin meant to Cory Asbury is what the unnamed servant meant to Saul’s destiny. Hear this: As you pursue the heart of your Father as they both did, be sure the Lord will perfect all that concerns you.
As the year comes to an end, make sure what is most important in the heart of your Father in heaven is on your top priority list in the coming New Year. Do His needs, and He will surely meet all your needs, and even all your wants. God is exceedingly more than able. Think Kingdom Expansion. Think winning more souls for Christ. Think Kingdom partnership.
Quote: When you go about your Father’s business, He will in turn, under obligation take care of every of your needs and wants.
Prophetic Decree: Receive fresh fire for kingdom exploits, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. I come against anything standing between me and kingdom evangelism, in Jesus name.
2. O Lord, consecrate me for your work in Year 2022, in Jesus name.
3. I reject the spirit of shyness, lack of enthusiasm, etc, in Jesus name.
4. O Lord, restore every destiny relationship even as I go about your business, in Jesus name.
5. My Father, connect me to the throne of my destiny as I serve you, in Jesus name.
