Bible Reading: 1 John 1:1, Hebrews 6:12

Memory VerseSo that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises. Hebrews 6:12 (AMP)

I came across a Christian write-up credited to Apostle Nebai Ogbonna which I believe will be a blessing to the body of Christ. It reads: “…Don’t lose yourself, much more your originality in a bid to tap what isn’t “tappable.” Anointing is not palm wine. Baba Adeboye’s anointing is not in his shortsleeve suit and bowtie, neither is it in his calmness and plainess of speech. Bishop Oyedepo’s anointing is not in his white suit and red tie, neither is it in his ability to suspend his voice with perfect undertones at intervals whilst he’s trying to emphasize a salient point. Apostle Suleman’s anointing isn’t in his hairstyle (thankfully Papa is now barbing skin – I say this with all ounces of seriousness and humility).

Apostle Arome’s anointing is not in the strings and warm pad the keyboardist supplies to him whilst he ministers. Apostle Edu’s anointing is not in his prayer posture (in fact, that posture is a result of the superimposition of an ordinance that he trapped by/in the Spirit). Evangelist Agochukwu’s anointing is not in his red socks. Dr. Paul Enenche’s anointing is not in the saxophone or windpipe that he plays. I can go on and on. These men are feared, respected, loved and admired by our generation because of what they have seen, touched and handled in the secret place. 1 John 1:1 says, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life”.

You’re not permitted to do what they do in public until you have done what they have done in private. Until you do what they do, you can’t do what they do. SELAH. And let’s get this straight. The greatest gift in the realm of the spirit is CONSISTENCY. Consistency is what impregnates purpose with potency for performance. In this Kingdom starters have no reward. Only finishers are applauded and awarded. Paul said, “I have finished (not I have started)…and a crown is laid up for me…” (2 Tim. 4: 7-8).

Only men who continue with Christ are licensed for power and authority. Luke 22:28-29 says, “Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me”. Consistency is synonymous with faithfulness. When You trust God, it is called Faith. When God trusts you, it is called Faithfulness. Can we lay aside this their public glory and seek after their private story? Father, grace us with the garment of consistency! Let us pray!

QuoteIf you would dare to do what the fathers did, you will enter exactly where they entered in the Spirit.

Prophetic Decree: Let fresh fire fall upon your prayer and study life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to live a life consecrated and dedicated to God, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to pour out my life as a drink offering unto God, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, grant me grace to labour consistently on the altar of sacrificial service for You.

4. Holy Spirit, graciously subject me to the daily routine that will burst forth your power in my life, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, re-fire my fire to take hold of the ancient mantles our fathers handles, in Jesus name.
