Bible Reading: Hebrews 6:11-15
Memory Verse: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and
looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62

On October 29, 1941, Winston Churchill visited Harrow School, his alma mater and
made some remarks. “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing,
great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honour and good
sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the
enemy….”

You may be starting from scratch and things look dead but if God authored it, do not give
up or abandon it. Do not become slothful. That is one of the things that happen when
things do not look good. Men become slothful and weary in doing the things of God.
There are people who stop going to church, stop reading the Bible and stop praying
thinking God has failed them. No! God does not fail anybody and He is not going to start
with you!
You may have to endure some opposition from the devil, you may have to endure the
assault of the enemy, but you can be certain of the outcome. God holds it in His hands;
the devil cannot change the outcome. If you will not allow the devil to rewrite the
outcome while you are going through the process of faith, then the outcome will be as
God ordained it for you and it will be well with you.
Many give up just about the time of their breakthrough. It could be as a result of a satanic
attack and at other times as a result of weakness within our soul. I want you to take
encouragement, consolation and strength from the life of Abraham. If God could make
of him who was “as good as dead,” something innumerable as the stars of heaven and as
the sand of the seashore, then God can turn your life into something wonderful. That is
the truth I want you to hold on to. And I want you to receive it in faith and rise up again.
All hope is not lost; the future will be better than the past.
