Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:3, Philippians 4:5, Exodus 28:2

Memory Verse: Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. Exodus 28:2 (NIV)

A lady bought an iPad. When her father saw it, he asked her: “What was the first thing you did when you bought it? “I put an anti-scratch sticker on the screen and bought a cover for the iPad” she replied. “Did someone force you to do so?” “No”, she said. “Don’t you think it’s an insult to the manufacturer?”, her father queried. “No dad! Infact, they recommended using a cover for the iPad”, she replied. “Did you cover it because it was cheap and ugly?”, he asked again. “Actually, I covered it because I didn’t want it to get damaged and decrease in value”, she replied. “When you put the cover on, didn’t it reduce the iPad’s beauty?” her father asked again. “I think it looks better and it is worth it for the protection it gives my iPad”, she said.

The father looked lovingly at his daughter and said, “Yet, if I had asked you to cover your body which is much more precious than the iPad, would you have agreed?” She went mute. Brethren, indecent dressing and exposure of your body reduces your value and respect. Always dress decently and modestly. There is nothing of value that is found naked. All minerals are found well-kept deep inside the earth’s crust. Why then should a human being wear clothes that reveals their sensitive body parts, their cleavages or their entire body shape? Sometimes, it is impossible to differentiate between a rag from a cloth. We preach modesty.
Clothes are meant for beauty and to cover one’s nakedness. Anything other than these in the name of fashion can be classified as “an appearance of sin”. Do you know? Some people will end in hell not because they committed any sin in particular, but because they made a brother to lust after them by the way they dressed. “My body belongs to me, and I am free to express myself”. ” I have got it, I flaunt it”. These type of statements are from those who are yet to absolutely surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. In Jesus alone we should live, move, and have our being. This is what the kingdom culture is all about. German gymnasts wore full body suits at the last European Championships in Switzerland as a way of making a stand against the “sexualization” of the female sport athletes. Take a stand for Jesus. Dress only to the glory of Christ the King.
Quote: Flee from sensual apparel, and Jazebelian attaires.
Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to live in simplicity and modesty, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
The God of all righteousness, I honour you. Lord, I repent of anyway I might have sent anyone to hell by the way I dress. I promise you Jesus to dress only for honour, beauty, and dignity. Above all, I promise to dress to your glory alone, in Jesus name. Thy will alone be done in my life now and forevermore, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
