Topic:  END OF THE YEAR WARNING AND COUNSEL (1)

Bible Reading: Ephesians 5: 15-20

Memory Verse: Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise. Ephesians 5:15 (NIV)

May the Lord help the youths of this generation. Christmas is in the corner. Hence, strange things will be happening. Please work and walk circumspectly. Walk in wisdom.

1. There is nothing stopping you from going to your village after 365 days of hard work, but please go there with the right motives. Don’t go with the intention of wanting to make an impression. Don’t go there to make a noise over yourself. The other time, a man went to his village for a function in Africa. He was busy spraying dollars at the party. He was kidnapped on his way back home.  He paid dearly for his foolishness. Some spiritual problems sponsored by envy can also be simply avoided by towing the path of wisdom and modesty. Be humble. Let God announce you at the right time.

• Please don’t struggle to build a befitting house in your village when you are not yet financially stable. Live your size per time.  Why spend 2-5 million naira (£2,000 – £5,000) on a house you will only stay for few days in a year? Do you know that in some particular villages, building a mansion is now a competition? There are many mansions with nobody living in them almost throughout the year. May God give you a vision bigger than satisfying your lust in Jesus name.

3. Make sure you honour all those who have spiritual and parental authorities over you in this season. They represent living altars to springboard you to another level in the coming year.

Prayer Focus 

1. In this season, I will not crucify Christ on the Cross once again.

2. I receive wisdom to navigate through life, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace for self control and self restraint in Jesus name.

4. I reject any external or internal pressure unto unrighteousness, in Jesus name.

5. The spirit of backsliding that makes one slide into spiritual lukewarmness shall not catch up with my soul, in Jesus name.
