Bible reading: Joshua 14:7, Genesis 13:14-15, Psalm 73.

Memory verse: “For all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.” Genesis 13:15(NKJV)

“See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms”. Jeremiah 1:10a

Today, I want you to see some of the factors that affect what men see in life and I want you to pay a very close attention to them. It is possible to look but not see. It is possible to be present in body but absent in the spirit. It is possible to be “there but not there.”

God’s promises could be hanging over your head but you must see it for yourself before it can become yours. God in His infinite mercies kept speaking to Abraham by comparing his seed with the sand of the sea, the stars of the sky, etc, because He wants his mind to be renewed and his vision to be sharper.

The factors that affect what you see include:

1. The condition of your heart: You see things the way they are in your heart and not the way those things really are. If your heart is far away from God, you will see things completely different from the way God sees them. Always position your heart well because it will always affect what you see. Joshua 14:8 says, “Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.” We see that this man brought words back to Moses as it was in his heart.

2. Your Environment: This is one of the major factors that will affect what you see. When you are in a negative environment e.g., amidst wrong friends, it will not allow you to see what is right because you will always see things in wrong perspective. When you are in a positive environment, you will see what God wants you to see. This is one of the things that helped David to see right, he was always in a right position with God.

Prophetic Word: I command all spiritual scales to fall off your eyes, in Jesus name.    

Prayer point:  

1. Holy Spirit, help me stand and sit always with Jesus that I may see what Jesus is seeing.
2. My Father, remove every physical and spiritual scales from my eyes, in Jesus name.
3. Power of transformation, fall upon my heart, in Jesus name.
