Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

Memory Verse: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes  3:1

There is something God has graciously granted all – young or old, great or small, and male or female – equal time! 24 hours of each day is available to all. Other facts about time include:

1. When time is lost, it may never be found.

2. Wasting time is tantamount to wasting life.

3. “Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it” – M. Scott Peck

4. Time is that employer that gives equal opportunity to all.

5. “Ordinary people think merely of spending time, great people think of using it” – Arthur Schopenhauer

6. There are different categories of people in life – those who do not know their time, those who know their time faintly, those whose time has passed/expired, those whose time is now (Psalm 102:13), those whose time is yet to come, those whose time has been arranged by the enemy, those who have wasted their time, and those who know their time. Where do you fall?

7. “Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.” – Rick Warren

8. Your time is your currency of success.

9. Time is your wisest counsellor.

10. Time and destiny wasters include: Excessive pleasure, excessive sleep, excessive screen time on social media, procrastination, comparison, gossip etc.

11. Wise people budget their time i.e. they attach an activity to each passing minute every day.

12. Wise people spend part of their time early in the morning with God in their Quiet time.

13. Time is slow when you wait. Time is fast when you are late. Time is deadly when you are sad. Time is short when you are happy. Time is endless when you are in pain. Time is long when you are bored. Time is determined by your feelings and your psychological conditions and not by clocks.

14. If you want to take care of the hour, you must take care of each passing minute.

15. Time is a scarce resource.

16. “Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” – William Penn
