Bible Reading: Matthew 3: 10-11
Memory Verse: And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Acts 2:3 (KJV)
Tell me, can anyone hold fire in his bossom and not get burnt? This is quite similar to when a believer clothed in fire represent in the spirit realm. He becomes untouchable to Satan and his cohorts. Even the angels in heaven respect fire. One of the Seraphims sent to Isaiah had to use a tong to put the live coal of fire upon Isaiah’s tongue (Isaiah 6:6-7). Even a mad man understands when fire is burning. He carefully keeps a safe distance. If you must become untouchable to the devil, then you have to become a burning fire.
How do you become fire?
1.Be a holy vessel: The fire of God will never fall upon an impure vessel. Don’t be impressed about people who are living an unholy life, yet working in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are only borrowed vessels. In a matter of time, they may soon be replaced if they don’t repent. God can use anybody and anything e.g. Balaam’s ass. God is using you is not the true authentication of His validation upon a life. May you not be a disposable vessel in the hands of your Creator.
2.Be addicted to prayers: One of our fathers in faith doesn’t go for 30 minutes without prayers. No wonder he was a terror to hell. The standard of God remains sure having a seal (2 Timothy 2:19). Prayer is an essential pathway to receiving the fire of God. Pray in the Holy Ghost, and pray in understanding.
3.Fasting: Why not get to a junction when you live a fasted life. Ask for your modality from the Holy Spirit. Be ready to go by His bidding. There are days a very tasty food had just been prepared and an unction not to eat but pray comes upon you. That seems weird, but it could be a shortcut to some endless prayer and fasting in the future. However, have some days in the week when you fast. Fasting weakens the power of the flesh, increases your spiritual sensitivity, and accelerates your spiritual power particularly as it concerns destroying the works of the devil (Isaiah 58).
- Addiction to Kingdom service: Be sure you will have fire brand ministering angels around you as you commit yourself sacrificially to kingdom expansion. Use your talent and gift for God. Don’t grow cold in the things of God. Jesus Christ, the chief labourer wouldn’t want to lose you, one of His faithful labourers to the claws of the devil and his cohorts as you serve, hence He is duty bound to cloth you with His fire.
Quote: You cannot pray and become a prey to the devil.
Prophetic Decree: Receive the garment of fire that will make you untouchable to the kingdom of darkness, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
- My prayer altar receive fresh fire, in Jesus name.
- I receive grace to live a holy and consecrated life, in Jesus name.
- Lord, increase my appetite to fast, in Jesus name.
- I receive fresh fire for kingdom mindedness and kingdom exploits, in Jesus name.
- Any devil that cross my path by mistake, I will correct him by power, in Jesus name.
