Bible Reading: Galatians 4: 1-2, Hebrews 12: 6

Memory Verse:  But the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, from Egypt, to be a people for His own possession, as today. Deuteronomy 4:20 (NASB)

You remember “number line” in O’level Mathematics? Usually the numbers move from left to right – from negative to positive. The scriptures says that God has called us from darkness into His marvellous light. There are some things that are simply unavoidable in our walk with God. You will surely make some mistakes. Mistakes sometimes points to the fact that you’re trying something new, you’re in a learning season, you’re doing something unusual. You can’t walk if you’re too afraid to fall. Stutters today are the speakers of tomorrow.

Hey friend, God has not given up on you. The miscarriages, death of a beloved, terminated appointment, inability to get admission, the myriads of spiritual problems, the false rumours and accusations, the ostracization, poverty, sickness, loneliness, pain, etc, are part of the negative number line experiences you must sometimes go through before you cross over to the positive number line. The deep wounds life gives you are prophetic sign post to the great glory ahead of you. Hold on. It is hard but true: God cannot use a man greatly until He has wounded him deeply. Deep calls unto deep. Your wilderness must come before Canaan.

Behind the deep darkness is a ray of shining beaming light. You must sit before you can walk. Zeros yesterday are the heros of today. God has got your back, beloved. He knows your name. Yes He does. Tim Storey explains: Becoming the person God created you to be requires a process.

As Christians, sometimes we have to go left in order to get right. All of us want to get right. We want the right job. We want the right ministry. We want the right mate. But sometimes there’s a season of left. As you know, Ecclesiastes  3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”. So it is important not to disregard or curse the ‘left experience.” Being left means being abandoned, forsaken, or even left out.

Although the left may seem bleak, it is the time of life to gain strength to handle life on the right. It is a season of preparation in which God must work on a Christian’s character to get him ready for life on the right. Storey believes that the higher a Christian’s calling, the more time he or she will have to spend on “the left.” Isaiah 48:10 (ISV) says, “Look, I have refined you, but not like silver; I have purified you in the furnace of affliction.” The process could be painful, but the outcome will truly worth it.

QuoteNever give up hope. All things are working for your good. One day, you’ll look back on everything you’ve been through and thank God for it – GermanyKent.
