Gambling means to play chance for money or to bet. It involves risking something of value on an uncertain event in hope of winning something of greater value.

What does Gambling and Ponzi Schemes do to your mind (psyche)?

1. It infects you with a quick rich mentality: There is nothing called “Do nothing but get so much”. God only adds favour to man’s labour. You must obey and respect financial principle. The Shunamite woman who experienced miracle of multiplication had to move from one house to another in search of many vessels. Hardwork does not kill, laziness does.
2. It increases your greed level: Victims of gambling want to have more money.
3. It causes lack of concentration at work and distraction to one’s studies: With online gambling many are now slaves to a mere tool called iphone checking on it every second.
4. It gives you a wrong attitude to money: Gamblers hardly save money. They hang their hope on the next hit.
5. Gamblers cannot be trusted especially with money.
6. Gambling invites the spirit of mammon.
7. The spirit of gambling is the spirit of haste. “…. It is not good to be hasty and miss the way”. (Prov. 19:2 NIV)
8. It is another type of negative addiction: When Tom Dewey was governor, he addressed the NY legislature as follows: “the entire history of legalized gambling in this country and abroad shows that it has brought nothing but poverty, crime, and corruption, demoralization of moral and ethical standards, and ultimately a lower living standard and misery for all the people.”

Prophetic Decree: I break every chain tying you to gambling, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

1. Negative addictions in my life, die, in Jesus name.
2. I flush my mind in the pool of the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.
3. Powers tying me down on the altar of gambling, catch fire, in Jesus name.
4. I reverse every evil flow from my parents, in Jesus name.
5. Like Father-like Son negative habit in my life, be flushed away by the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.
