Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19:11-12

Memory Verse: I hear the most gentle whisper from One I never guessed would speak to me.  Psalm 81:5 (The Message)

I was preparing for a group discussion with a friend on a particular day. Suddenly, I remembered that we did not pray when we started. That was the inner witness of the Holy Ghost drawing me closer to prayer. As I contemplated on this, I remembered Neymar, that football star who was not ashamed of the Gospel. Neymar boldly wrote “100% Jesus” on a head band before the entire world on the football pitch. My recalcitrance to pray hit the living Rock! I finally led my friend to a minute of prayers to honour God. I sensed joy overflow in my spirit man. Two things to learn quickly from that:

1. Live a life of Worship: How often do you lift Jesus up amongst your friends and associates. God demands a first place in whatever you do. In your tithe, offering, service, and everyday living. Simply saying, “Thank you Jesus” attracts the love of heaven.
2. You must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit: If you are not baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, you need to cry for help today. Say this simple prayer: Holy Ghost come into my heart in your fullness today in Jesus name.

Interestingly, after that day, I noticed my friend prays each time he wants to read. Whao… I would have missed an opportunity to influence a life by my willful disobedience. Live a life of evangelism in your words and attitude. How often do you neglect the whisper, nudge, and witness of the Holy Ghost in your spirit? Repent today.

5. That angel of darkness appearing as an angel of light, die, in Jesus name.
