In this year of manifestation of the sons of God, please seek a genuine encounter. An encounter is that definite moment when you meet God. This is good news: It is possible to have a genuine encounter with God daily in your quiet time. This is one pillar of the Christian faith often trivialized. A daily devotional guide such as this is poised to bridge that gap, but may not totally do that for everyone.
For some of us, spending anything less than 45 minutes studying and meditating on the Word of God no matter how busy is not a good Word-dose for the type of destiny in front of us. You need to go deeper. Five things to do during your quiet time include: 1. Worship. 2. Prayers. 3. Word Feast. 4. Meditation. 5. Praises. You had better cultivate meeting with the Lord everyday in a genuine encounter.
One day, your Pastor, Parent, discipler or cell leader will not be there to answer very urgent and pertinent destiny questions that could determine the direction and pace of the remaining days of your life. Having your quiet time early in the morning is not only a sign of reference to God as your number one source, it also helps to receive specific directions and instructions for the day.
A genuine encounter could be dramatic or not. The most important thing is that it brings conviction and peace of God into your mind. Please don’t be particular of dramatic encounter from God. Simply allow the Holy Spirit move in His own way. Don’t forget even that even Satan can appears as a form of light. Don’t be surprised if in a retreat everyone seems to be shouting and screaming but you just remain calm while the Holy Spirit begins to impart you with a new vision. Your experience is not lesser than the former. Run with the vision given. He has just encountered you afresh.

Prayer Focus
1. O Lord, my life is available for you. Breath on me, Lord.
2. Fresh fire of revival, fall upon my prayer altar, in Jesus name.
3. Holy Spirit, please baptize me with a fresh hunger and passion for the presence of God, in Jesus name.
4. My Father, help me to long after your presence and not your present, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Spirit, capture my mind, in Jesus name.
