Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:18
Memory Verse: So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. Colossians 1:28 (NLT)
Many years ago on campus, one of God’s special apostles of our times sent with a revival message received a prophecy. He was told he had an international ministry with a warning: A lady will be sent from the pit of hell to deconsecrate you. If you resist her Jezebelian attack, then your ministry will find expression. Before leaving the campus, this lady showed up.
She was all around him. She had the resemblance of a fire brand. What preserved our dear man of God was the warning he had earlier received. 5 years after campus, this lady was still stalking him – to his office, and even during a city wide crusade. She gave up when he wouldn’t bulge. To be forewarned indeed is to be forearmed.
Brother Gbile Akanni also experienced something similar. There was this firebrand sister. Looking at her in the flesh, you will marvel at the grace of God. She was very zealous for God. She could pray, fast, and evangelise. What a joy to have such a woman as a wife! When Daddy Gbile enquired of the Lord in prayers, he was warned: She is not a durable material.
He yielded to this warning and dumped the idea of marriage. Many years passed by, and this lady had become a shadow of herself. May the ears of your Samuel be opened when the eyes of your Samuel is about to anoint Eliab instead of David, in Jesus name.
Another brother also had a similar experience. There was this lady always coming for counselling. She could sing well and was well rooted in the doctrines of the Church. She kept flocking around him and calling him on phone. In a dream at night, he saw a group of ladies surround him, but he could only recognise a particular face – this overbearing sister!
The power of God came upon him, and he ran through their troop. Another Jezebel defeated! Imagine what could have befallen a glorious call/ministry if he had married such a sister.
On a sad note, there was another brother who was heavily anointed. God had used him to raise many dead back to life. He became a target for the enemy. One day, a demonically fortified dog entered into his room without opening the door. It was on an assignment to eat him to death.
He shouted the name Jesus and buried the dog afterwards. He was very anointed indeed. But, he refused to heed the counsel, “Do not commit fornication.” He fell into the sin of fornication. At only 32 years old, the witches in his neighbourhood came to rejoice over his death. He was anointed but not ‘instructed’! Be warned. He that breaks the edge, no matter your anointing, a serpent shall bite (Eccl. 10:8).
Quote: Those who despise warning are doomed to perish.
Prophetic Decree: May the ears of your Samuel be opened when the eyes of your Samuel is about to anoint Eliab instead of David, in Jesus name.
