Bible reading: 1 Peter 2:4-8, Proverbs 3:5-7

Memory Verse: You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5(NKJV)

What is a Quarry? A quarry is a place from which dimension stone, rock, construction aggregate, sand, gravel are been excavated from the ground.

A quarry is a place where large stones are cut into different dimensions as desired by the quarry owner.

There we are! “…as desired by the quarry owner “. The large lump of stone have got no choice to make for themselves. They are to be cut into various smaller sizes as the owner of the quarry desires!

The Owner of the quarry represents God Almighty, the Creator, while the various sizes of stones represent we, God’s creatures, with various talents and gifting.

We must be persuaded that we are in the best hand – the hand of the Almighty God! Hence, He can decide to “cut us” and shape us into any size He so desires!

Prophesy into your life: In Christ, I’m a living stone. I refuse to offer strange sacrifices by the way I live my life, in the name of Jesus.

Key Point:   Die To Self.

Prayer points

1) O Lord, break me and use me in the name of Jesus.

2) I receive grace to surrender absolutely to your Will in they name of Jesus.
