Friday, 29th July, 2016.

Scripture Reading:         Romans 12:2.

Memory verse for the week:      Job 14:7

“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.”(NKJV)

Words form thought in our heart. A thought when processed develop into an habit. Habit when practiced often, soon becomes our character. Our character keeps or demotes us in the place of our destiny!

Habit is anything you do often and regularly, sometimes without knowing you are doing it. We all have habits. Some are good and others are bad. Today, we shall look at habits every godly teen is expected to acquire in preparation for a glorious destiny.

 Wakes up early in the morning everyday to talk & receive instructions from God. This is called Quiet time (Mark 1:35).Sees no need to talk to God except when in problem.
 Ensures his school notes are complete.Tattered school notes; never complete.
 Follows his reading plan diligently.No reading plan. Reads only when he feels like.
 Talks about ideas and innovations.Talks about people; enjoys gossip & backbiting.
 Always appreciative and always grateful; no matter the conditionAlways complaining and ever criticizing. Never grateful.
 Forgives others.Holds grudges. Never forgives his friends, his siblings or his parents.
 Eager to learn, re-learn & unlearn.They believe they know-it –all.
 Accepts responsibilities for their failuresBlame others for their failures.
 Says “thank you” for help rendered.Doesn’t say “thank you”; so proud at heart.
 Set goals and develop life plan.Never set goals, have no plan.
 Spends money wisely; has a savings account.Spends money rashly; no savings account.
 They are very polite and courteous to their peers, seniors and parents.They are very rude. Have no respect.
 They have learnt to smile & remain calm in all situation.Easily flared up and irritated especially when things aren’t working as planned.
 Values time. Knows that time is Life.Play away their time in gossip etc



  1. I receive great grace to form good habits, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Fire of the Holy Ghost, burn every bad habit away from my life, in Jesus name.
