Bible Reading: Proverbs 10:9, 11:3,14:34 20:7

Memory VerseYou, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48 (AMP)

Like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, no matter how corrupt an institution is, there will always be at least one good head. So it is with CSP Francis Osagie Erhabor. He is acclaimed never to have taken a bribe since over 30 years in active public service. He made headlines after rejecting a whopping #864 million bribe. He was awarded ‘Police officer of the year’ during a Leadership Excellence Awards, after coming top in the nationwide online voting. In his words, “I love and believe in this project called Nigeria, and the profession, the Nigeria Police was a great platform to serve my fatherland.

I sincerely believed in this job, loved this job and sacrificed so much for this job.” He joined the noble profession as a cadet inspector at age 17 and poured 30 years of his life into the job wholeheartedly. On how he rejected N864m bribe, CSP Erhabor said, “As a pipeline Commander in Edo state, I turned down #6.5m weekly; #24m monthly; #288m yearly, and a whooping sum of #864 for the 3years I served as a commander.” Indeed, there are still people whose god is not their belly and whose conscience cannot be bought over with money. Lord, make me and my readers one of such in this increasingly corrupt world. You can call him a fool. You can call him stupid.

Either way, like Dr Christopher Kolade (DWOJ Volume 6A, page 55), he has written his name in gold in heaven and in the sand of time. This is generation that seeks the Lord, a rare breed, a rare stalk from Zion. Would you dare to be one of this type in your place of work, in your school or in that establishment? Needed: Men and women of uncommon integrity. However, such an uncommon person will not go without being persecuted by his boss and colleagues. He was denied promotion more than three times while junior officers were promoted. Such is the price needed to walk in integrity and honour. “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12 (NKJV). However, the prize of integrity is worth the sacrifice in time and eternity. Walk in it.

Quote: The pathway of intergrity and eternal glory is narrow, only the courageous walk in it.

Prophetic Decree: You will not fail or falter in your journey to heaven, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus
