Bible reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4.
Memory Verse: For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 (NKJV)
There’s a tendency to shift unconsciously from the Master. There’s a tendency to look away from the Son. There’s a tendency to be dull to hearing the same message of a soon coming King. There’s a tendency to be “overcharged” with the affairs of this world. There’s a tendency to think it all ends on this planet. There’s a tendency like the five (5) foolish virgins to lose guard on the Day of the Lord.
Many live their lives caring less if eternity matters. You cannot have the picture of heaven in view and you live anyhow. Parents who send their children on errand expect accountability from them. In the same way, God who created you and breath into you will demand accountability, someday.
The scripture remains ever true over this matter, “That day will come like a thief in the night” (1 Thes. 5:2). Are you prepared for the great day of the Lord? Will you be among the saints to be raptured in glory? Do you envision a place where the streets are made of gold? No quarrel, no power failure, no kidnapping, no bombing, no fuel scarcity. That day will come like a thief in the night. You had better be prepared. There’s no amount of comfort you receive here on earth that can be likened to that of heaven. Don’t miss the great Day of the Lord.
Are you born again? Have you been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb? Are you a backslider? Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Tomorrow may be too late.
Quote: If you must miss anything, don’t miss the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Prophetic Word: Receive your deliverance from every sin and weight that easily besets you, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. Deliver me wholly from the root of sin and hell in me. Wash me with the Blood of Jesus. Delete any satanic configuration in my spirit taking me to hell. Today, I accept You as my personal Lord and saviour, in Jesus mighty name.
