Bible Reading: Luke 18:1

Memory Verse: Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up. Luke 18:1 (ISV)

I celebrate the grace of God upon P.Daniel Olawande. Sometimes prayers seems dry and you are struggling to pray. It looks like the heavens are closed and it is impossible to penetrate. Sometimes you wake up to pray and it will be a struggle, it seems you are just wasting your time, there seems to be no flow at all; music will be dry, no prayer points coming to your spirit, nothing just seems to work.

Really it can be very frustrating. However, in seasons like this, some scriptures should come to your mind. We must trust the scriptures more than our experiences. We must believe what the Word of God says and just act on it in its simplicity.

Our spiritual walk doesn’t have to be complex to be real, enjoy its simplicity! First thing first, it is not about your feelings at all, because the scripture says: “But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” Daniel 11:32b. Please note: It is those who ‘know their God’, and not those who ‘feel their God’.

You must move from feelings to knowing. Another scripture that comes to mind says: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”  2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV. Therefore, we operate a faith-based walk with God, not a feelings-based walk. If we have feelings, glory to God and if we don’t have feelings we still pray; we are not primarily in search for feelings.

You don’t always have to feel romantic towards your spouse every morning before you express your love. Do you? You must be committed to doing that all the days of your life whether you feel like it or not. Similarly, our walk with God should go beyond feelings. The ‘spirit of grace to pray’ takes over where our ‘discipline to pray’ stops. 

Quote: Your feelings could be deceptive. Stick to a prayer routine.

Prophetic Decree: Receive the spirit of prayer and I intercession, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. By the enablement of the Spirit of grace, I receive a booster in my prayer life, in Jesus name.

2. Spirit of prayer overshadow my life, in Jesus name.

3. The pathway for the release of my spirit, open up, in Jesus name.

4. Any clog in the wheel of my prayer life, clear away by fire, in Jesus name.

5. Anti-prayer spirit, I bind and cast you out, in Jesus name.
