Bible reading: 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8.
Memory Verse: For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honour. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4.
It’s simple. If you don’t want to be pregnant, you don’t do that will make you pregnant. By the help of the Holy Spirit, make up your mind to keep your body holiness until you get married. It’s possible. Believe me!
Again, you don’t expose your mind to the things that will fuel the desire for illicit sex. Mind the television programmes you watch. You can’t be watching pornography on the internet or on cable TV and be far from sexual immorality. It reduces your resistance to combat sin. Don’t terminate your future by your indiscipline of today.
The teenage year is a very exploring season of life. With that at the back of your mind, you need to tie your emotions around more constructive activity. Learn a new skill and develop your talents. You can learn some computer application packages such as Microsoft Excel, Power point, Graphics etc. You could get yourself involved in some petty trade if your Parents wouldn’t mind. Be productively engaged. Fuel your passion.
Above all, read, read and read. Read good books. Read educational, motivational, political and spiritual books etc. Broaden your mind, increase your horizon. Never stay idle. Daily, always have a target you’re aiming at whether you’re in or out of session in school.
Key Point: Choose to be disciplined and by the help of God, you will never be a victim of abortion.
Prayer Point
- Foundational pull of my Father’s house drawing me towards self-destruction, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Spirit of abortion hovering over my head, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
