Bible Reading: Philippians 3: 7-15
Memory Verse: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. Philippians 3:10
Sing the hymn: Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus on page 104. I was awed when I heard of a father of faith who often have supernatural encounters with the Patriarchs of old recorded in the Bible such as Prophet Jeremiah, Elijah, etc. Indeed we are surrounded with a great crowd of witnesses (Heb. 12:1). Before then, I had always asked myself who this father of faith submits to because almost all the great giants of faith I know in modern times are in one way or the other are connected to him. Brethren, miracles are wonderful, prophecy is beautiful, power demonstration is also awesome, but nothing can be compared to increasingly deep intimacy with God. How much of God do you know? How much of God are you willing to experience? How hungry are you?
What price have you subjected yourself to in order to really know Him? How often do you dig deep in your personal Bible study (not because you want to preach)? Like Moses, when last did you lose consciousness of time in God’s presence; lost in eternity? When last did you receive a divine visitation from heaven? What about your daily quiet time? Many Christians are in a backsliding state. Others are only full of activities but no intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Those great things they used to do when they got born again, they do them no more. The cares of this world, the marital, academic and economic pressures of this times, the quest to make ends meet, the desire to put food on the table have reduced their zeal and undying thirst for real intimacy with God. What happened to those heavenly visions, dear Man of God? What about those mission outreaches your heart longs after as a growing Christian? The orphanage visitations? The prison evangelism? Will all these things become a shadow of your past? Awake O Zion.
Wake up from your slumber. Time is ticking. The bridegroom will soon arrive. Choose not to be numbered amongst the five foolish virgins who started well but couldn’t finish well. No one must take your crown. Haven’t you heard that the last shall be the first and the first shall be the last? (Mat. 20:16). Friend, once your intimacy with God plummets, it affects every other aspect of your life and any other thing you may be doing for your Master. It is to the degree the oil in your spirit man is serviced that every other aspect of your life and work of the gospel can be effective. It is time to return to Bethel, the place of encounter, the place of fellowship, the place of deep intimacy.
Quote: To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement – SaintAugustine.
Prophetic Decree: Receive an undying passion to know more of God, in Jesus name.

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.
Refrain:
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher every day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.
2. Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.
3. Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.
4. Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.

Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue.
