Memory Verse: I can guarantee this truth: A single grain of wheat doesn’t produce anything unless it is planted in the ground and dies. If it dies, it will produce a lot of grain. John 12:24(GWT)
Shall we examine another thing we must lay down for Christ to TOTALLY reign in our mortal bodies:
4. Death to your ambitions: Apostle Michael Orokpo was intercepted by God when he wanted to further his studies abroad. Pastor (Dr.) Paul Enenche and his wife were both intercepted by God when they received the offer to practice medicine abroad and make big money. Now, see what God has made out of these lives who died to their ambitions when He so demanded. Today, see their level of anointing, prosperity and generational influence. Have plans. Dream big. Have savings. But, when God demands of it, lay it all down IMMEDIATELY.
There is something bigger He’s planning for you (Jer. 29:11). Isaac “died” in the heart of Abraham at Mount Moriah for a generational covenant to be born. God collects what we consider important to give us what we truly need. That’s the ministry of death. That’s the way of sacrifice! Friends, accept the ministry of death to your flesh today. It is a condition for your continuous lifting.
Dear brethren, what is too much to lay down for your Master? Except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abides alone (John 12:24). You won’t amount to anything worthwhile in this kingdom until you subscribe to the ministry of death to self. Lay your heart down for the Lord. Lay your ambitions down. Lay your plans down for the Lord. Lay everything down. This is true Christian living. The ministry of death to self! Come under the authority of the Holy Ghost. That’s your number one sure defence! Let Him begin to work out the fruit of the Spirit in you. This may be hard on your flesh but definitely, that’s the way to go (Gal 5:17).
The flesh and the Spirit of God are constantly at war with each other. Where you’re to give hatred, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness or anger, permit the Holy Spirit to work out love in your heart. Your weakness for His strength! “Submit to death, death of your ambitions and favorite wishes every day and death of your whole body in the end: submit with every fiber of your being, and you will find eternal life. Keep back nothing. Nothing that you have not given away will be really yours. Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised from the dead … look to Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in” – C.S. Lewis

Prophetic Decree: Henceforth, the Holy Spirit shall possess you, in Jesus name
Prayer Focus:
1. Thank you Father for daily working your will in my heart.
2. I decree the breaking of my outer man and the release of my spirit, in Jesus name.
3. Precious Holy Spirit, please crucify me daily, in Jesus name.
4. Sing and Pray: Daily as I live, let my whole life be an expression of your grace.
5. Any ladder of the enemy into my life, be broken in Jesus name.
