Bible Reading: Acts 9: 36-42

Memory Verse:  And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heartGalatians 6:9 (NKJV)

1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sold his 4 championship rings, 3 MVP Trophies and other memorabilia for 2.8 million dollars with the proceeds going to a youth education program. The hall of fame champion said, “When it comes to choosing between storing a championship ring or trophy in a room, or providing kids with an opportunity to change their lives, the choice is pretty simple: Sell it all.”

2. Dr. Amanda Hess, an obstetrician from Kentucky, was at the hospital, ready to give birth to her second child. While awaiting her own induction, she overheard nurses discussing another patient, Leah Halliday-Johnson, who was in active labour with a baby in distress due to dangerously low fetal heart rates. Realizing the urgency of the situation and knowing the on-call doctor had not yet arrived, Dr. Hess decided to step in. Despite being in labour herself,
Dr. Hess quickly donned a hospital gown and splash-proof boots over her flip-flops and made her way to the delivery room. With her medical expertise and composure, she managed to safely deliver Halliday-Johnson’s baby. The baby arrived healthy, and Halliday-Johnson was deeply grateful for Dr. Hess’s selfless act. After ensuring everything was in order with the mother and baby, Dr. Hess returned to her own room. Just hours later, she gave birth to her daughter, becoming both a hero and a new mum on the same day.

3. 11-year-old Kevin was just a little league bat boy when a baseball bat struck his chest, stopping his heart. In that terrifying moment, an off-duty nurse named Penny rushed from the stands and saved his life with CPR. But this isn’t where the story ends. 7 years later, 17-year-old Kevin is working at a restaurant when a customer starts choking. Without hesitation, he performs the Heimlich manoeuvre, saving her life. The customer? The same nurse who saved him years ago! Guess what? Kevin didn’t even realize it until his mom told him later: “That was Penny, the nurse who saved your life!” They reunited at the local fire hall, where Kevin, now a volunteer firefighter, presented her with flowers. Two lives, connected by two moments that proved no act of kindness is ever wasted. This reminds us that God has a beautiful way of bringing things full circle. The kindness you show today will find its way back to you when you least expect it.

QuoteKindness is like a seed. Surely, it will grow someday and bear fruit, sometimes in the most unexpected way.

Prophetic Decree: After the order of Mordecai, may a king remember to reward your act of kindness of yesteryears, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father because you are a kind Father.

2. After the order of Dorcas, O Lord, remember my acts of kindness in the day of trouble in Jesus name.

3. I receive a heart never to be weary in well-doing, in Jesus name.

4. Where my good intentions have caused me pain, by your mercies, O Lord, deliver me, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to discern all men, in Jesus name.
