MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS (2).

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post July

Monday, 4th July, 2016.

Scriptural reading: Hebrews 12:1-13

Memory verse for the week:   Psalm 103: 1-2

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Good morning this morning beloved!  We shall continue what God started with us yesterday.

Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”.(NKJV)

From the above scripture, there could be ‘weight’ and ‘sin’ we carry along on our journey in life that either slow us down or sometimes destroy us as teenagers. Answer the following questions sincerely:

  1. My Friends
  2. Who are my best friends?
  3. What impact do they make in my life before this year?
  4. Who among them influence me negatively?
  5. Who among them must I cut away from?
  6. Skill Acquisition
  7. What skill do I intend to acquire this New Year? e.g. Learning of musical instrument (piano, keyboard, trumpet or organ), interior decoration, cooking/ baking, sewing etc
  8.  When do I intend to start and finish?
  9. How do I source for the money for the training? (Through your personal savings and or through your parent/guardian).
  10. Social Media
  11. What is my most favourite television/cable channel?
  12. What actually do I learn from the tv/cable channel?
  13. Is it worth the time I dedicate to it?
  14. If I need a change, which tv/cable channel would I opt for and why?
  15. How often do I browse the internet?
  16. What are my most favourite websites?
  17. Does it expose me to impure sexual thought, violent spirit & other social vices?

ACTION WORD:       DECISIONS EITHER MAKE OR MAR US!

PRAYER POINT:

  1. I separate myself from anything & friends that will distract my destiny this year in the name of Jesus.
  2. Holy Ghost, give me power to be disciplined in the name of Jesus.
