Bible Reading:  Ecclesiastes 9:18, Isaiah 33:6

Memory Verse:  Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength. Ecclesiastes 9:16a (KJV)

Someone fell apart with his superior. He forgot so soon the man who brought him to limelight. Wisdom, decorum and the rule of honour demands that you don’t dishonour your superiors in the public even if he does. Beloved, you must develop the capacity to bear “legitimate shame and insult”. Men who are dead to the flesh hardly react. You both are not operating on the same level. Accord him that respect and see God fight and vindicate you.

Hear me beloved, in the school of life, and especially when dealing with your superiors, “the acts of honour” can be deployed as an instrument of warfare to silence your adversary and compel your lifting. Fighting a man that lifted you publicly, your parents who raised you, your Pastor, your group leader etc, will, many atimes, compound your problems EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG .

Both spiritual and constituted authorities are established by God, and must be honoured at all times. Heavens respect rank. God places highest premium on family and Church structure, palace protocols and organization hierarchy. 1 Corinthians 14:40, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” Take a clue from Queen Esther. Haman, second in command in the kingdom, was a top ally of king Ahasuerus. History has shown women who wanted to fight some of the allies of their husbands fall from grace.

Confronting such a diabolical person in the might of flesh will not yield any good result. First, together with her other Jews, she took the battle to the heavens to subdue the altars backing him up. Secondly, she engaged honour as a means of spiritual warfare. He kept honouring him in a banquet of wine until she completely disarmed him, and sentenced him to the same grave he had prepared. Sometimes, before God intervenes in a situation, He wants to see your depth of sacrifice, commitment, resilience, wisdom and honour in managing relationship.

The only thing stopping some people from moving forward for donkey years is simply because they have refused to recognize their benefactor, and as long as that boss, political ally, parents, friend, or pastor is not pleased with you, beloved, your heavens may remain closed. Dear friend, tow the path of wisdom and honour. Die to your flesh.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive your deliverance from the subtle entanglement of pride, in Jesus name. 

Prayer Focus

1. I break the power of the flesh over me, in Jesus name.

2. I receive divine wisdom to manage relationship, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to tow the path of honour as a deal with my superiors, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, please help me never to bite the finger that once fed me, in Jesus name.

5. My pride and arrogance shall not stand between me and my next level, in Jesus name.
