Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

Memory Verse:  I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraidJohn 14:27 (NLT)

Here are simple yet powerful daily actions husbands and wives can do to rekindle and strengthen their love. No grand gestures required, just intentionality in the little things:

1Start the Day with a Kind Word or Prayer: A hug, a compliment, or a short prayer together before starting the day can set a loving tone. For Example: “I’m thankful for you today,” or “Let’s pray for strength and peace today.”

2Send a Thoughtful Text During the Day: A short message like “I’m thinking of you”, or a funny meme can make your spouse feel remembered and cherished.

3Share a 10-Minute Check-In: Take a few minutes daily to ask: “How was your day?” and truly listen. No distractions, no problem solving. Just presence!

4Eat at Least One Meal Together Without Screens: Whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or even just tea, share a meal with eye contact and conversation.

5Show Physical Affection: Hold hands, hug, kiss good morning and good night. Touch reinforces love without words.

6Laugh Together: Share a funny video, joke, or memory. Laughter builds emotional closeness.

7Express One Appreciation Daily: Say something specific you’re thankful for: “Thanks for making dinner,” or “I love how you encourage me.”

8Do a Small Act of Service: Make his/her tea, iron their shirt, run a quick errand. Love is shown in serving one another.

9Pray Together Before Bed: Even a 30-second prayer asking God to bless your marriage and protect your hearts can build intimacy.

10End the Day with Affirmation: Whisper, “I love you,” “I’m glad I married you,” or “Thank you for today.”

11Nothing is too serious. You don’t have to win every game: Not every issue is worth fighting. Learn to let go. Resolve respectfully what must be addressed. Yelling and name-calling never helps! Forgive daily.

12Do your part as though your marriage depended on you alone: Don’t focus on what your partner lacks, excel on your part. Love reciprocates. Give your best! No holding back.

13. Money secrets and overspending have buried many marriages: Plan your money together. Spend wisely. Live within your means. You’re not in competition with anyone.

14. Pick one evening a week for intentional time: Walk together, cook something new, or talk about dreams and plans.

QuoteLittle things often ignored or overlooked are the real big deals!

Prophetic Decree:  Let the Prince of Peace reign in your home, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for my spouse.

2. I receive wisdom to walk in love and peace, in Jesus name.

3. I break every mindset as a result of my upbringing or environmental influence, affecting my home, in Jesus name.

4. I bring the lordship of Jesus into the centre of my home, in Jesus name.

5. I break every demonic grip of external influences in my home, in Jesus name.
