Bible Reading: Matthew 6:33

Memory VerseMoses said, “If your presence doesn’t take the lead here, call this trip off right now. Exodus 33:15 (MSG)

Every new year is a fresh gift from God. It is not just another calendar year but a divine opportunity to move closer to God, advance His kingdom, and fulfil His purpose on earth. To make 2026 truly count, here are practical steps rooted in Scriptures and Biblical examples you can follow:

1. Start with God’s Presence: Before Israel set out on any journey, Moses prayed, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here” (Exodus 33:15). Begin 2026 with prayer, fasting, and consecration. Like Jesus, who spent 40 days in the wilderness before launching His ministry (Luke 4:1–14), seek God first. Your year is only as fruitful as the depth of your connection to God at the start. In His presence, you receive strength, vision and specific direction to run through the year for your life, career, health, and ministry. Friend, your utmost desire should be to be at the centre of the will of God for your life throughout the journey of this year.

2. Revisit Your Kingdom Priorities: Jesus taught, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Make decisions this year with eternity in mind. Like Nehemiah, he left a comfortable position in the king’s palace to rebuild Jerusalem’s broken walls (Nehemiah 1–2). He prioritised God’s kingdom over personal luxury. Ask yourself: How can I advance the kingdom of God this year? Through soul-winning, giving, service in the church, and living as an ambassador for Christ everywhere and everyday.

3. Set Spirit-Led Goals: The Bible says, “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established” (Proverbs 16:3). Don’t just write resolutions, pray them through. Joseph’s dreams (Genesis 37) were not just personal ambitions; they were God-given goals that shaped nations. Break goals into actionable steps: e.g., reading through the Bible in 2026, saving and investing wisely, mentoring a younger believer, improving your health to serve God better, getting a professional certificate, or upgrading a skill.

QuoteA strong start with God guarantees a fruitful finish with grace.

Prophetic Decree: May God fill your year with goodness, and may your paths drip with abundance, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Shekinah Presence of God, go before me in this Year 2026, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to put God first in everything I do this year, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to make God’s purpose only my personal ambition this year, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, help me to be in the centre of your purpose for my life, whether the devil likes it or not, in Jesus name.

5. I receive wisdom for profitable living, in Jesus name.
