Topic: MAXIMISING YEAR 2026 (2)

Bible Reading:  Matthew 5:14-16, 1 Corinthians 15:33

Memory Verse:  Don’t let anyone deceive you. Associating with bad people will ruin decent people1 Corinthians 15:33 (GWT)

Dear friends, you can also maximise the new year by doing the following:

4. Guard Your Atmosphere: Paul warned, “Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits” (1 Corinthians 15:33). Who you walk with in 2026 will influence your destiny. Lot’s association with Sodom almost destroyed him, while Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi aligned her with God’s plan, and brought her into the lineage of Christ (Ruth 1:16). Fill your atmosphere with worship, the Word, and people who sharpen your faith (Proverbs 27:17). Friendship is not by force. Friendship is by choice.

5. Walk in Consistency, Not Just Excitement: The difference between Samson and Daniel was consistency. Samson had moments of great strength but lived carelessly (Judges 16), while Daniel prayed three times a day for decades, even under threat of death (Daniel 6:10). Build daily disciplines in prayer, Bible study, and thanksgiving whether you feel like it or not. Over time, consistency produces unshakable strength.

6. Serve and Shine: Jesus said, “You are the light of the world … let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14–16). Dorcas (Tabitha) was remembered for her acts of kindness and generosity (Acts 9:36–41). Her impact was so strong that God restored her to life through Peter’s prayer. In 2026, be intentional about service, whether in your workplace, school, church, or community. Let your life reflect Christ.

7. Expect and Declare God’s Promises: God told Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth … then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8). This year, speak God’s Word over your life no matter the situation. David always declared God’s faithfulness before battles (1 Samuel 17:45–47). His confessions shaped his victories. Let the weak say that I am strong (Joel 3:10). Declare God’s promises over your health, family, career, and ministry. Faith-filled declarations create an atmosphere of victory. Words declared put your angels to work.

Quote:  Journey through Year 2026 with God, for God, and in God.

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to live, to move, and have your being in God.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for Year 2026

2. I receive grace to fill my atmosphere with worship, the Word, and people who sharpen my faith, in Jesus name.

3. Let there be a spiritual repulsion between me and any unfriendly friend, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to build daily disciplines in prayer, Bible study, and thanksgiving, whether I feel like it or not, in Jesus name.

5. I receive a heart to serve in my workplace, school, church, and community, in Jesus name.
