Bible Reading: Exodus 31: 1-5

Memory Verse: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. Romans 12:11 (KJV)

You will agree with me that the world is becoming increasingly dynamic. What used to work most times, don’t work any longer. Certifications from higher institution of learning used to be the major pathway to living a good life. These days, the world is gradually drifting from such to talent maximization. Wise people are observant to understand changing seasons and plug themselves into such flows.

Abolaji David Banjoko is his birth name, widely and professionally known as Beejay Sax. He is one of the fastest growing saxophonists, entertainers, a professional musician with strong Christian Ethics. He said, “I was a music student in junior school, and I took particular interest in the saxophone. Over time, I realised it was more than just a talent, but an assignment, a ministry and I ran with it.”

He studied Mechanical Engineering at Ogun State University. He started playing the Saxophone at a very early age and had developed his passion after being mentored by Pioneer Saxophonist, Pastor Kunle Ajayi. He has performed at various Corporate, Social and Gospel Events, with top-notch delivery at all times. Beejay Sax has built a reputation for himself in the corporate world with reputable organizations like United Bank for Africa (U.B.A), Flour Mills, Nokia, Diamond Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Toyota, Vanguard, Lagos Business School, Mearsk Nig Ltd, and other prominent corporate bodies in the Country.

Beejay Sax is engraced with the ability to stir the hearts of men in reverting praise and soulful worship with his instrument has the hallmark of his craft. He is the convener of the successful gospel event tagged ‘BEEJAY SAX LIVE’. The last one held at Eko Hotel and Suites was a huge success. He also ministered at the 12th edition of the ‘EXPERIENCE’ the largest gospel concert in Africa as well as numerous corporate and church events within and outside Nigeria.

Lesson: Pursue your career with utmost vigour but NEVER neglect your GODLY passions and talents. Your talent probably has more to offer you more than any certificate can if well harnessed.
