Bible reading: 2 Kings 5:1-27.
Memory Verse: “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning” Proverbs 9:9(NKJV).
Mentors or Destiny Fathers (not necessarily your biological father) are men and women God bring your way at one time or the other to prune, add and/or delete something from your life. They see something you aren’t seeing about yourself. Such people know something you don’t know about yourself and where you’re going. They are God’s invisible hand in human flesh to get you to your final destination in life.
In life, you will need to drink from the well of wisdom of a man who is doing something you’re about to do or has done something you’re doing. It’ll make your life a lot sweeter, and free from costly errors. I believe that most people fail in life and destiny because they did not discover their destiny father or respond positively to them. If you must make it in life and destiny, you must not only recognize your mentors, you must respond to him properly.
Are you properly relating to your destiny father and adjusting to the process that he has set up for you to become the product that God wants you to become? Every major pillar that you see today supporting any structure could do so because when it was still a wet concrete, it endured the controlled structure of the wooden column where it was poured until it became dry and strong.
The prodigal son wanted the freedom and privileges of a son. He was not ready to go through the process of sonship. His father also responded wrongly, and as a result, he was wasted by the devil. Jesus is a good example of a mentor. He had 12 disciples whom he taught and impacted so greatly, and they returned turning the world upside down.
Quote: Only those who endure the training of a mentor can manifest without blemish.
Prophetic Word: You will not miss your destiny father, in Jesus name.
Prayer Point:
- I’ll not despise my destiny fathers, in the name of Jesus.
- Power of God, enable me to subject myself to the process of mentorship, in Jesus name.
