| Bible Reading: Galatians 5: 16-26 Memory Verse: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (ESV) I know God has promised you great and mighty things. You have seen it in your dreams, visions, and heard about it from prophecies. One major criteria needed before entering into all of these promises is death to self. Before you can carry the weight of God’s glory, He will pass you through a refining furnace that no flesh may glory in His presence. You must be threshed at the threshing mill of the Almighty. You must be trained by the instrumentality of death. God promised the children of Israel Canaan land for their possession, but it took the process of death to get there. They had to die to the philosophies of Egypt, the Egyptian way of life, their past pain, and the Egyptian mindset which had become part of them. It took only a night to cross over from Egypt, but it took many years to possess Canaan. Why? Because God was up to something. With a wrong value system, perspective, orientation and attitude, a man will turn even his Canaan back to Egypt. The platform is not as important as the preparation. Preparation precedes platform. God doesn’t want you to become a counterfeit of His glory, so He slowly but articulately refines you even as He takes you from one level of glory to another (Exodus 23:29). Friend, what are you holding back from the Lord? That unfriendly sinful relationship, the alcohol in your wardrobe, that pack of cigarette, hard drugs, that perpetual bribe you take, examination malpractice, fornication, adultery, little lie, theft, anger, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness. It is the desire of the Holy Spirit to keep working death in you that the life of Christ may manifest in you. You must get to a point when the only ambition you nurse is the ambition of God, the Father who is in heaven. Just anything He says, you do. Anything God cannot get from you, you cannot truly own. Death to your will, your opinion, your wants, your needs, your ambition, etc. Someone need to cry: Take all I have and all I own, that I may be wholly lost in You. Quote: The devil is only as powerful to the degree of the works of the flesh in your life. Prophetic Decree: I break the grip of that old man of sin in your heart, in Jesus name. Prayer Focus 1. I repent and renounce of every hidden and open work of darkness in my life, in Jesus name. 2. Holy Spirit, you have my permission, deal with self in me, in Jesus name. 3. Let the channels of my spirit open up by fire, in Jesus name. 4. Holy Spirit, work your life in me, in Jesus name. 5. Spirit of the living God possess me afresh, in Jesus name.
