Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 12: 13

Memory Verse:  If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV)

Perhaps the summary of the Bible was described very clearly by Solomon. Solomon was a man God entrusted with so much wisdom that transcended his days. He also experimented with a lot of things. At the end of his life, he wrote a summary, “That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.” Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NLT).

The Bible is the manual containing God’s instructions to mankind. It is a book containing the laws of God. Oh, how sweet our lives shall be when we choose to obey the Word of God.

As you begin to walk with God in continuous fellowship, one important thing He will teach you primarily is obedience. You must obey God even when your feelings are not in support. You don’t do as you desire in this kingdom. You only do as commanded.

King Saul felt like keeping the best sheep, cattles and other livestock for a sacrifice unto God, which was contrary to the instructions God gave him. He lost his throne in his process. Prophet Samuel told him that to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than a fat of ram (1 Sam. 15:22).

People who become emotional about divine instructions may likely lose their destinies. You don’t obey as desired; you obey as commanded. You don’t obey as desired; you obey as demanded.

What has God told you to do that seems impossible. Go ahead and do same in God’s own strength. Everything seems impossible until it is done! You cannot use prayers and fasting to change God’s will, or change God’s instructions concerning a matter. You are only delaying the day of your manifestation by so doing. Be audacious.  Be courageous. Act in faith.

Once you make up your mind to obey God’s instructions, you activate your angels. As soon as Abraham set out to obey God by sacrificing Isaac, the Lord commanded his angels to prepare a ram in Isaac’s stead on Mount Moriah. Friends, the degree of prophecies you fulfil is tied to your compliance to obedience. Be more intentional about carrying out instructions swiftly. It isn’t about what you were told to do; it’s about doing that which you were told to do. Just follow instructions, and you’ll get the result. We run by principles, but we fly by instruction. Many have prayed but haven’t seen the results of their prayers because they have failed to obey the instructions that came through prayers.

Quote: We run by principles, but we fly by instructions.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive a heart to will and do of God’s pleasure, in Jesus name

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I am sorry in every way I might have blatantly or mistakenly disobeyed your instructions, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace to obey God completely and promptly, in Jesus name.

3. By the mercies of God, I shall return from my journey of disobedience to my road of obedience in order to run with my divine instructions, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, a word from You is capable of changing my life forever. Please send Your word unto me today, in Jesus name

5. Spirit of disobedience and stubbornness, be choked out of my life, in Jesus name.
