Bible Reading:  Acts 4:12, John 14:6

Memory Verse: Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6 (AMP)

There was a season in the life of Apostle Christian Nwoke when all he was only interested in becoming was a raggae dancehall artist with musical jams (songs) that will top billboard charts. He was smoking marijuana, visiting brothels, jamming his recorded album from party to party. He said a Pastor came to his house to pray for his family and he looked at me and said, “Young man, God has called you to be a Preacher”. “God knows the bitterness I felt in my heart when the Pastor made that statement. The statement made me hate him and also lose interest in his prayers”, he said. He added, “Church matter no dey my blood at all…”

The only rhythm of his soul then was worldly music, make money, have influence and meet with his then role models like 50 cent and Jamaica’s Junior Reid for a music collaboration. He entered the University years later and still continued in the same negative spirit. The Christian Ministry was NEVER his desire. Preaching the Gospel was never his desire until Jesus intercepted his life which was after one year of taking an oath in the forest and becoming a black axe member. “I came to obey the call to follow Jesus in the same campus where as a cultist my life could have been taken because the blood oath I took in the forest by midnight pronounced death on renouncing the system. I couldn’t hide because as a Director of Socials (DoS) in school then, the confraternity leadership knew me very well”, he wrote.

Finally, he  renounced the devil! “The men tried my faith, but God gave them terror and saved me by telling their godfather after he confronted me and literally bowed to the Spirit of God in me. He cautioned all others that none of them should trouble me any longer”, he further said. After reading Philippians 1:21, Nwoke said he was ready to die for the Jesus he believed in. He didn’t see any future ahead. He didn’t see marriage. He didn’t see family or children. He didn’t see a ministry. He only wanted to die a believer and make heaven. But, God seeing his heart, kept him all through and promised him more. “IN COMING TO JESUS, ALL MY ADDICTIONS BROKE”, he said emphatically.

Quote: You have transacted with with Babylon, wouldn’t you transact with Zion today?
