Bible Reading: Philippians 3: 10 , 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18

In conclusion of yesterday’s testimony, Pastor Cordeiro asked the 22 Chinese Christian leaders who came for the ministerial training and retreat how he could pray for them. One man responded that he wanted to be free to worship: “Could you pray that one day we could just be like you?” But the Hawaii pastor said he would not do that. “I will not pray that you become like us, but I will pray that we become just like you,” he responded. You guys rode on a train for 13 hours to get here. In my country, if you’ve got to drive more than an hour people don’t come. You sat on a wooden floor for three days. In my country, if people have to seat for more than 40 minutes they leave. You didn’t only seat on the hard floor for 3½ days, but you did so without an air condition. In my country if people don’t see air condition system working and padded pews they often don’t come back. In my country we have an average of two Bibles per family, but we don’t read any of them. You hardly have any Bible but you memorise them from pieces of paper. I will not pray that you become like us, rather I will pray that we become just like you.
Many have been Christians for donkey years but haven’t taken any kingdom risk for Jesus for once. Now, like this 22 Chinese leaders imagine if you have to go to prison if caught by the government. What will you do? Will you want to be a partaker of such a fellowship with Christ? Beloved, if a gun is pointed at your head to deny your faith in Christ, will you? Be careful before you answer. In your office, haven’t you started denying God when you padded that contract? What about the bribe you often take? As a student, you deny God when you engage in examination malpractice. What about the little lies you tell in order to gain favour? Are you ready to suffer and if need be die for your faith ?

1 COR. 9:11(NIV) SAYS, “IF WE HAVE SOWN SPIRITUAL SEED AMONG YOU, IS IT TOO MUCH IF WE REAP A MATERIAL HARVEST FROM YOU?”.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I am sorry for the many times I have complained about my little discomfort for the kingdom.
2. My Father, please help me go the extra mile amidst all pain, discomfort, and sufferings for your kingdom, in Jesus name.
3. I will stay at my post till the end, in Jesus mighty name.
4. We come against all territorial principalities fighting the kingdom of God, in Jesus name.
5. We decree the establishment of the kingdom of God and no individual, force, or government shall stand against it, in Jesus mighty name.
