“Reckless Love” is the title of the gospel single sang by Cory Asbury. It follows the story of a broken young man who found God. It was released in 2018. The song spent 68 weeks on the Hot Christians Songs chart, 18 weeks at number one, and 55 weeks in the top 10. The single, which has over 300 million total streams and more than 125 million views on YouTube, was also nominated for a 2019 Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.

Cory Asbury said, “When DeVon Franklin called me in the summer of 2018 to discuss the possibility of making a Reckless Love movie, I had every intention of telling him, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ Asbury reflected. “If you know me, you know how highly I value authenticity and realness, so taking advantage of the success of a song God has freely given me felt a bit exploitative. I didn’t want to ‘milk it’ for all it was worth. I wanted to protect and preserve its purity at all cost, which in my mind, meant NOT ‘selling out’ to cool opportunities that came my way.”
Dear Gospel Singer, dear Pastor, dear Gospel instrumentalist, dear usher, dear church worker and dear fellow Christians. Should God give you a voice or an opportunity, would you take advantage of it for personal profit?
There are preachers who will not honour your invitations until you pay millions into their account. Don’t get me wrong. There is a place for honourarium. A labourer is worthy of his wages. But, must you compel your host on such an exorbitant amount? How much did you pay for the grace God has generously bestowed on you? Be warned before God wipes you off and your name will never ever be remembered again. Let that habit stop this Year 2022. Repent and be restored.
