Bible ReadingProverbs 11:21, Galatians 6:7

Memory Verse:  Don’t fool yourselves. Bad friends will destroy you. 1 Corinthians 15:33 (CEV)

Has Segun went deeper and deeper into crime, the police finally caught  him, and threw him in jail. There, he encountered Jesus Christ. He said it was his team that went back to his house and shot his mother dead until she was swimming in her own pool of blood. His father, who was suffering from partial stroke visited him in prison on a wheel chair. Pastor Segun is warning the youths of today: Evil communication corrupts good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Come out of evil fraternity. Open up to receive help. God surely forgives; but no sinner will go unpunished. The God of mercy is still the God of justice. One way or the other, the consequences of your sins must surely find you out even as the mercies of God prevails. “Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.” Psalm 89:14 (KJV).

FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION: His father did many things most fathers don’t do before they leave the earth. One day, while Pastor Segun’s dad was about to die, he sent for his son in the hospital bed. Initially he was scared. When he got there, his father told him to rest his head on his laps. His father told him that he started well in ministry but he didn’t take enough care of his children. Hence, he should avoid such mistakes.

He told him that in his new found faith and ministerial journey, he should avoid covetousness. He further said he wouldn’t want to miss heaven due to the unforgiveness in his heart, hence, he forgave him wholeheartedly. Above all, he wouldn’t want an evil ministerial pattern which he started to continue in his family hence, he would want to bless him. He told his son to place his hand on his head, and as he blessed his son, he passed on to glory.

QuoteShow your children God’s love by loving them and others as Christ loves you. Be quick to forgive, don’t hold a grudge, look for what’s best, and speak gently into areas of their lives that need growth – GennyMonchamp.

Prophetic Decree: May your work for the Lord remain a blessing and not a curse, in Jesus’ name.
