Bible Reading: 2 Kings 6: 1-7

Memory VerseAnd do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans12:2(NKJV)

Imagine the prayers of two different Christians. The first Christian says: O Lord, please show me the project of my prosperity in life. And the other says: O Lord, I will like to be an importer and exporter, please bless the work of my hands. The first Christian is seeking the face of the Lord for His perfect will, hence he will secure the covenant of God over the works of his hands, while the second Christian simply wants the Lord to rubber stamp his intentions – His permissive will.

Evangelist Mike Bamiloye once wrote, “Many times, we force the Lord to give us His permission to embark on our own journey, to fulfill our own desire, to accomplish our own purpose. Many times, we conceive a project or business, finalize the idea and bring it before Him to bless it, and after quoting series of scriptures and concreting the scriptures with some prayers and fasting sessions, plus some amount of money to drop at the altar as paid vows, we would assume all is well now and the permission has been secured to proceed on the project or the business. WHEN THE AXE-HEAD FALLS INTO THE RIVER, WHO WILL YOU CALL? Some businesses of some children of God are operating under God’s permissive will. Some projects and programmes of some ministers and churches are existing under God’s permissive will.

Some brothers are still going to the wedding altar stubbornly after several warnings from the Holy Spirit against the sisters they intend on marrying. WHEN THE AXE-HEAD EVENTUALLY FALLS INTO THE RIVER, WHO WILL YOU CALL? But why is God’s presence (perfect will) more important than His permissive will? Exodus 33:14 reads, “And He said, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'”  HIS PRESENCE BRINGS REST OF MIND in your journey of life and on what you do. THE LORD COULD GIVE HIS PERMISSION TO WHAT HE DOES NOT SUPPORT, BUT WOULD NOT BRING HIS PRESENCE TO WHAT HE DOES NOT SUPPORT.

In this year 2022 and forevermore, make sure you secure God’s perfect will in all you do. Don’t run faster than your Creator. It is your attitude towards God that will determine how much of your destiny you will fulfill. In this kingdom, we fly by waiting for instructions because they that wait upon the Lord shall be renewed in strength and they shall mount up with wings as Eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Quote: Until you learn to wait on God, and follow diligently His instructions, you may not enjoy perfect peace.

Prophetic Decree: This year, I divert all altars of diversions away from your life, in Jesus name.
