Bible Reading: Jeremiah 35: 1-19

Memory Verse: But they said, “We will not drink wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘You shall not drink wine, you or your sons, forever. Jeremiah 35:6 (NASB)

Tit bits about consecration:

1. You can be led by the Spirit of God to consecrate a certain day to be alone with God like Christian billionaire, Dr. Cosmas Maduka does. He doesn’t go out on such a day. Just him and God. Personal Consecration!

2. You can be led by the Spirit of God to give a portion of every money that comes into your hands for a certain Kingdom purpose. Consequently, there’s a guarantee covenant of ease in a particular area of your life, such as your finances. 

3. All the dimensions of God in your life doesn’t have the same consecration. For example, the consecration required to secure the backing of God in your finances may not be what is required to secure a covenant for an outbreak of God’s power in your ministry. You must seek to understand the mind of God for every department of your life. 

4. A father in faith noticed the power of God wasn’t evident in his monthly special meetings. He went to God in prayers. Then, God revealed to him what was wrong. He no longer waits in God’s presence for 2-3 days alone before such meetings. As soon as he resumed such consecration, the power of God came back like an avalanche. Consecration forced his angels to work more assiduously.

5. God may require you to fast in a certain way, give to certain Kingdom courses, or study certain amount of Bible chapters daily no matter how busy your schedule may be. He may instruct you to pray in the Spirit for certain number of hours daily/before any special meetings, or submit to definite spiritual authorities for impartation consistently. These then become your personal consecration to secure His hand in a particular department of your life.

6. Perhaps you haven’t grown to receiving specific instructions from the Lord, or you’re not discerning enough, simply learn to obey diligently what the Bible says on any matter.  

7. Rule of thumb for personal consecration: “Others may, I cannot”

8. Consecration could be daily, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, biannually, every decade, etc. Just do as demanded!

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace that makes consecration easy 

Prayer Focus 

1. Thank you Father for your word of grace and glory. 

2. Holy Spirit, please take me deeper in loving and knowing You more intimately, in Jesus name. 

3. I receive grace to understand the requisites consecration needed to secure a covenant with God for my financial prosperity. 

4. I receive grace to understand the requisites consecration needed to secure a covenant with God in order to walk in power.

5. I receive grace to understand the requisites consecration needed to secure a covenant with God in order to maintain my deliverance.
