Bible Reading: Habakkuk 3: 17-19

Memory Verse: Lord, you are great. You are really worthy of praise. No one can completely understand how great you are. Psalm 145:3 (NIrV)

The year is running out. I’m sure you have one or two testimonies to share. And even if you don’t have one, you can still thank God for the gift of life. If Archie Williams who was wrongly convicted and sent to prison for a crime he never  committed for 36 full years could still praise God (he even nursed the ambition to sing on an international stage), how much more you? Friends, your situation is not as bad as you think. God is too faithful to fail you despite all that might have happened.

Never allow your prevailing situation to stop you from praising God. If we praise God during difficult times, it shows our trust in God and God never disappoint those who trust in Him. Happy Moments, Praise God. Difficult Moments, Seek God. Quiet Moments, Worship God. Painful Moments, Trust God. Every Moment…Thank God! Trials without God will break you, but with God, it will make you. God has the perfect timing. Has Year 2021 been full of challenges? Trust God for a better year 2022. Jesus never fails.

SEVEN REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD:

1. The Bible commands it: As the Psalmist says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” (Psalm 150:6).

2. Praise facilitates access to God: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4).

3. Praise is where God lives: Wait a minute, isn’t God omnipresent – everywhere, all the time? Absolutely! Yet His presence is especially intense in an atmosphere of praise. The Bible says God is “enthroned upon the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3).

4. Praise promotes productivity: According to the Word, the Earth yields its produce in the presence of praise (Psalm 17:5-6). “When we praise, productivity is maximized, fulfillment is realized and frustration is neutralized” – Jack Taylor.

5. Praise chases away despair: Praise produces “the oil of gladness instead of mourning” (Isaiah 61:3).

6. Praise is an effective weapon against the devil: Satan, one time good angel Lucifer and God’s praise leader (Isaiah 14), was kicked out of heaven and doomed for destruction because to his desire to be equal to God. Anytime a child of God worships/praise God, it infuriates the devil because it reminds him of the position he lost that can never be regained.

7. God is worthy of it: “The Lord is great and worthy of our praise” Psalm 145:3 (NCV).

Quote:  Praise will give you a raise.

Prophetic Decree: Receive the Oil of grace from this time now and forever more, in Jesus name.
