Bible Reading:  2 Timothy 2:4, 2 Corinthians 4:2

Memory VerseAnd whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17 (NLT)

Be blessed:

1. A particular country hosted a continental football game. All 16 countries represented were given a luxury bus each to convey their team during the game. Amazingly, few days after the continental tournament was over, only one of the luxury bus belonging to the host country was in view though all buses were returned to the appropriate government offices. Some government officials have either sold it off or rebranded it for personal use.

2. Haven’t you seen Toyota Hiace buses worth millions of naira (thousands of dollars/pounds) bought for monitoring and control of government projects wreck within 18 months. This is a pathetic malady.

3. Have you seen the way people throw dirt on the street, on the railway, inside the gutter and inside  water bodies? Little or no regard is given to anything public. We soon forget that government property is our individual properties.

4. The only reason why some generations will suffer tomorrow is simply because of the activities of their parents while in public service. All manner of gross misconduct and impunity both to man and God. Several months after due payment, necessary documents will not be released until the authorities are either threatened or induced financially. Dear public servant don’t heap a generation curse for your generation yet unborn.

5. Integrity, discipline, self-control and fear of God makes a man wealthy, not the fat bank account, luxurious cars and mansions. Leave a good heritage for your children and the next generation. Are you building a good name for your children or strictly a fat bank account? Money fades, fame goes, cars get out of system, but a good name stays on forever.

Quote:  The reward of a good public service life doesn’t come quickly but it will come however how long it may take; and it lasts longer. What legacy are you laying up for your children and your community? (2Cor12:14)

Prophetic Decree: Let the mercy of God wash you off from all conscious and unconscious curses associated with public service, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, please forgive my lineage as a result of parental mistakes, errors and corruption during active years in public service.

2. I receive a heart of selfless service to God and mankind, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, please help me to see You as the subject of my kingdom service, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to see my service to my nation as serving God, in Jesus name.

5. Blood of Jesus, flush out all the bad eggs in government, in Jesus name.

6. Father, give us leaders that will confront headlong corruption and all public injustices, in Jesus name.
