Bible Reading: Habakkuk 2: 2-4

Memory VerseFor the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)

In 1991, Ratan Tata became the Chairman of the Tata group. Tata motors was India’s largest truck maker. In 1998, Ratan Tata decided to focus on building modern passenger cars. Consequently, they launched Tata Indica – the first modern passenger car ever to be designed by an Indian company. Unfortunately, the car’s sales rate was very poor to Ratan Tata’s greatest surprise. So, the Tata group decided to sell its car business to Ford company, an American car company in 1991.

They headed to Ford’s head office in Detroit, USA. The two companies were in a meeting for 3 hours. Ratan Tata was humiliated by the Chairman of the Ford company, Bill Ford. Bill Ford said, “You don’t know anything. Why did you start the passenger car business at all? We are doing you a big favour by buying your car company.” There, Ratan Tata was provoked to superior performance. Same night, he decided not to sell his company’s car division again. He flew back to Mumbia, India, the same night. He turned all of his FOCUS to Tata motors. With time, Tata motors became a leading brand all over the world.

Lessons:

1. Sometimes in life, we are too quick to quit on our visions and dreams because they aren’t working at our pace. Friend, give it more time. While a maize seed completes its life cycle, a mustard seed haven’t started budding. Every vision and dream has its own unique timing.

2. Always remember: There is tomorrow. Treat people nicely. It is good to be good at all times. Never use your present position, status, economic, social or political influence against anyone. Learn to walk in humility. Furthermore, learn never to talk down on anyone because you don’t know what they will become tomorrow.

3. Sometimes, your best may never come to light until someone humiliates, insults or criticize you. May God bring your way people who will bring out the best in you, in Jesus name. #Provocation towards higher productivity.

Quote:  The dread of criticism is the death of genius – WilliamGilmoreSimms

Prophetic Decree:  In one way or the other, your dreams shall come to light, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus for the vision and dreams you have planted in me.

2. My vision and dreams shall not die, in Jesus name.

3. Another person shall not own my dreams, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to be humble in the way I talk, think, and treat fellow men, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, please don’t stop to inspire and provoke me towards pursuing my goals, in Jesus name.

6. Opportunity wasters, die, in Jesus name.
