Bible reading: Mark 12: 28-34

Memory Verse: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31(NIV)

Sometimes ago, angry youths from a particular religion cut off the head of a woman over allegations that she blasphemed against their Prophet during a religious argument; and with gross impunity and disregard to the law, cut off and paraded the head of the woman around town.

Joash told the people that wanted to fight for the god, Baal, when Gideon his son destroyed Baal’s altar: “Let Baal contend against him, because he broke down his altar.” Judges 6:32 (ESV). This should be the mindset of a man who is tolerant of another people’s religion. Why fight for your god if truly he is alive.

In another incidence, a woman who was on her routine morning evangelism was allegedly killed by people of another faith.

Beloved, Christ has not called us into vandalism, murder, suicide bombing or rioting in our schools and campuses in defence of His name. Our God is well able to fight for Himself in due season. Have you forgotten He is a mighty man of war? The Lord is His name. Christianity is not just a religion but a way of life and our God is not dead. Yes, Jesus is alive!

Quote:  Jehovah is a man of war!

Prophetic Word: The Lord shall arise and silence all enemies of the Gospel, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

  1. Father, we repent of any way we might have interrupted your counsel by our fleshly motives, in Jesus name.
