In business management, one thing that cannot be left unchecked is strategy. As a matter of fact, strategy should constantly be reviewed daily, quarterly, biannually, and annually. At creation, God daily reviewed what he had done and concluded it was good on a daily basis. Brethren, let’s learn wisdom.
Have you taken time to look at the various aspects of your life in Year 2023 and check if its result matches your expectations? Areas of your life that need evaluation include: Your spiritual life, your academic life, your finances, your relationship with your spouse, children, colleagues, and family members; your health (mental and physical), your attitude to giving, your Christian service, your attitude towards evangelism, your spouse, etc.
How many hours do you dedicate to PERSONAL Bible study and prayers? How many books have you read this year? When last did you read those sermon notes of yours if at all you have one? If you have been going to church without doing anything for the Lord, you must repent and turn a new leaf in the coming year. There is a blessing that can only be obtained via kingdom service – your many days of prayer and fasting MAY NOT deliver that unto you.
How much did you budget for the things of God this year and what percentage increase are you inspired to add? How many souls did you personally bring to Christ this year, and what percentage increase do you envisage in the coming year? How much of societal impact and community development projects did you participate in this year?
Your profession as a Christian is better seen through good works hence, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). How much care have you been giving to your aged parents, and how do you intend to improve? What must you do to stop this constant fight between you and your spouse, your children and/or your neighbour?
Like Isaac in Genesis 24:63, we all need to go to a solitary place for many hours, or days to evaluate our lives before the gate of Year 2024 open. Examine ye yourselves.

Prayer Focus
1. I repent in anyway I have been lackadaisical or cold towards the things of God, in Jesus name.
2. Lord, reveal areas of my life that needs correction and please help me to make amends, in Jesus name.
3. Ashes upon my prayer altar, blow away by fire, in Jesus name.
4. I receive wisdom to walk in peace with my spouse, children and neighbour, in Jesus name.
5. I receive grace for societal impact, in Jesus name.
