Bible Reading: Psalm 42:1-2
Memory Verse: He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. Psalms 103:7 (KJV)
A lot of Christians in church look for Jesus, the bread giver; they do not look for Jesus, the Way. Hence, they can’t follow His ways. So, what they come to do is just receive signs and miracles and wouldn’t get close to God, and as a result of this, they lose those miracles most times.
Other characteristics of shallow Christians include:
27. They criticise preachers and men of God but do not pray for them.
28. When you find it easy to miss church service.
29. When giving and tithing becomes a struggle.
30. When you keep looking for loopholes in your church standards.
31. When you are so worldly and carnal and you want to follow the carnal way of doing everything.
32. When you love pleasure and entertainment more than the things of God.
33. When you prefer what is comfortable and convenient for you, instead of what God is commanding.
34. When you fear men more than God.
35. When you honour people’s acceptance more than that of God.
36. When you value appearance over purity, you prefer worldly entertainment instead of spiritual things.
37. You do not hunger and thirst after righteousness.
38. When you fear the devil more than sin, when you should really fear sin and run away from it.
39. When the thought of the second coming of Christ does not move you. The Bible says that this world will be melted with fire, and you feel it is a story.
40. When your sacrificial life is zero: You cannot sacrifice for God. There are people who do politics in the house of God and seek position in church but not the purposes of Christ.
41. When you always like to be at the front and always want to be seen.
42. When Satan no longer bothers to fight you because he knows you are not doing any harm to him.
43. When you cannot discern between true and false doctrines.
44. When you have zero holiness or avoid holiness teachings.

Prayer Focus
1. My Father, develop in me a holy hatred for sin, in Jesus name.
2. I receive grace not to be lost in the Church, in Jesus name.
3. O Lord, please give me a balanced understanding of how to walk with You, in Jesus name.
4. I receive a fresh prayer burden for the body of Christ and its leadership on earth, in Jesus name.
5. I receive grace to live as a sacrificial lamb for the kingdom, in Jesus name.
