SHAME AND PAIN COULD BE INSTRUMENTS OF GLORY

SHAME AND PAIN COULD BE INSTRUMENTS OF GLORY

Bible Reading: Romans 8:18

Memory Verse:  For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in usRomans 8:18 (NKJV)

Again, glory could be multifaceted. Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV), “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Before Jesus could ascend to glory, He needed to descend to hell that He may collect the keys of death and hell from the devil (Revelation 1:17-18).

Have you observed that many of the things that made you cry, or caused you pain in your past are the same things putting caution on you, and are the motivations behind many good works you are doing for the kingdom today. Had God lifted you without passing you through certain storms and turbulence, your present success perhaps wouldn’t have brought joy to heaven. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

If Joseph had not learnt from the pain and shame of his silent years and incarceration, perhaps he would have continued to suffer from “mouth diarrhoea” even as a Prime Minister. The pain worked caution on his lips. Never again was he quick to talk out his dreams.

You cannot be a successful businessman without having lost a fortune in business. Be wary of mentors who don’t have scars. Scars are forerunner of stars. It is those mistakes you made yesterday that are guiding some of the business decisions and business ethics you have today.

Ask many who are working in the healing anointing today. They once suffered from a particular terrible illness yesterday. Hence, they have become men of like passions able to minister healing compassionately.

I once shared a testimony of a woman whom God is using to minister the blessing of the fruit of the womb. What many don’t know is that at a particular point in her life she was barren for many years. God did not only break the yoke of barrenness in her life, He has also endowed her with the grace to break similar yokes. Her shame paved way for glory both to her and to the body of Christ at large.

Rejoice beloved. Whatever happened last  year is a prophetic pointer to the glory which is about to be revealed. The shame and pain of last year is not worthy to be compared to the glory which is about to be revealed.

Quote: Instead of your shame you shall have double honor – Isaiah 61:7a (NKJV)

Prophetic Decree: Instead of your shame you shall have double glory, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus for you cannot make a mistake with my life.

2. I decree for my shame, I shall have double honour, in Jesus name.

3. This year, the Lord shall turn my shame to glory, in Jesus name.

4. Testimonies that will make me forget about the shame of my past shall locate me this year, in Jesus name.

5. This year, heaven shall turn the pain of my past to gain, in Jesus name.
